What's a good brand of a DJ mixer for a beginner DJ?

Looking back 24 years ago, I was once in the same boat in the quest to find a good beginner DJ mixer. I went through a lot of mixers before and there wasn't a whole lot of manufacturers back then.
First, it is very important to know that one of the first things to go bad in a mixer is the crossfader. Most crossfaders have only a limited life cycle say, 100,000 or so before it goes bad and starts to bleed channels, meaning the music can be heard even if the crossfader is fully switched to one side. Many cheap mixers start to bleed in a matter of a few weeks from constant usage. For most brands, crossfaders are not covered under warranty.
In this regard, I would recommend getting a Gemini mixer (such as a PMX-02 or PMX-03 though I personally use a CS-02) since their replacement crossfaders like RG-45 (standard taper) and RG-45PRO (short taper designed for scratching) are relatively inexpensive and fairly easy to find. Other brands I've used, have replacement crossfaders but are extremely hard to find. Some do not have any replacement crossfaders at all, so once the crossfader goes bad your mixer is now a worthless piece of junk requiring you to purchase a brand new mixer. Also most Gemini mixers have a crossfader panel that is easily accessed unlike other brand mixers where you literally have to take the mixer apart to install a replacement crossfader.
I'm a working DJ and I STILL use Gemini mixers for most of my gigs due to its cost effectiveness. I have high end equipment as well but I seldom take them to gigs mainly because nobodys really cares what brand equipment you use in a party - unless you happen to be a DJ.
The best brand mixers are currently Pioneer, Denon, Ecler, Allen & Heath, Rane, Technics and Vestax.
