Equipment and programs to record acoustic hip-hop at home?
Hello, I was wondering if anybody could tell me a few cheap or free programs as well as the equipment I would need to record acoustic guitar and clean vocals at home using my pc. I am looking to do something similar to Shwayze but don't want to spend a fortune going to a professional studio. Also, would buying a condenser microphone be good for rapping and clean vocals?
Theres alot of different things you could get, but if you want quality, your gonna have to pay for it. Im using for my software, protools m-powered, and a delta 1010 lt for my sound card, and s8 tapco studio monitors a 12 channel alessis mixer. and soon to buy a keybourd, undecided on what kind yet.Program wise theres several different softwares you could use. Audacity is free. I aint never used it before. go here. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ theres also several cracked software that people seem to be usimng but I wouldnt recomend it. Cause most of them are a peice of crap And yes a mic is very importannt when recording vocals. Im using a studio projects c3 mic in my, they run about 300 dollars. and also you will need a good interface, sound card. I would do alot of research before you start on your studio. Im still new myself and learning and I had to go back and buy some stuff. Go to homerecording.com and you will learn alot. and also go and check out american musical supply.
