Recording FROM Computer TO Cassette?

Yeah, we all know how to rip music from a cassette and convert it to MP3. I use Audacity and my tape deck for this purpose, thus I have all the equipment needed.

What I'm wondering is, is there a way to reverse this process and record directly onto the cassette by reversing the process? (ie, hooking the tape deck thru the line-in, hitting record, and playin the MP3)?

Sounds like it would work... just curious.

Yes and No..
NOT the Line in (blue) but the Line Out (green) kind of obvious when you think about it ;)
Naturally you will also need the cassette end of the cable to go into the stereo inputs of the tape deck - ideally use the type of deck that gives a visual indication of the gain level coming in, so that you can change the settings in the PC 'mixer' to prevent distortion.
