Microphones for home recordings?
Hi. I am looking for a USB microphone for voice over projects to be recorded from home. Could you suggest a few good ones that would deliver superior quality studio like audio quality in recordings.
Also, a query about the "Shure SM57 and X2u XLR-To-USB Digital Bundle":
1. Is this microphone compatible with Windows Vista Home?
2. How does the integrated pre-amp feature help?
3. Would I be requiring any kind of audio interface with this mic for recording?
4. And, is this mic suitable for voice over recordings?

It says that it is compatible with Vista "Business" but not Vista "Home"
It may work anyway.
The USB part needs to have a preamp anyway so that it not really anything special.
You do not need an audio interface for a USB setup like this - it is an audio interface itself.
I would recommend a regular USB mic for the purpose of voiceovers - the SM57 mic is not the best for voice recordings.
