What are the benefits of putting a sound card in my computer?
Are sound cards really worth the money? Is the difference in sound quality that noticeable? Especially is the speakers are still the same?
And does the increase in sound quality only work in video games or does it improve playback of songs as well?
Finally, how much might a sound card cost?

I find that the integrated sound cards on my computer work fine for everyday audio. I doubt there would be much difference in sound quality. Getting a sound card can allow you to hook surround sound up to your computer. A sound card can range from $8 to $280.
