How good are wireless headphones in a live/DJ setting?
I was thinking of breaking the mold and buying a set of wireless Sennheiser headphones to use while in a live/DJ setting. I'm starting to get into DJing but I just want to make sure nothing would screw up the wireless signal. Not that it would be that severe of a problem. I'll be using Numark iDJ2 turntables for house parties. Are there any reasons why you might think that wireless headphones wouldn't be good to use?
I would never use wireless headphones but they may work for you. A wired headphone is more reliable, has better sound, gets louder (needed in a loud environment). Your wireless headphone probably will not interfere with anything but it could pick up interference from other things.
Wired is almost always better. Wireless = problems. Keep it simple.
Put your money into something your audience will appreciate - better speakers - more subs.
