how to stop electrical noise on a wireless microphone?
I have just purchased a wireless microphone and when im using it and someone turns on something electrical ie-a fan heater the switching on of the heater makes a loud clicking noise over the speakers
You might experiment with a (partial) faraday cage. If a spark from a switch is being picked up by the antenna of your receiving unit (not likely the mic) you may be able to shield the receiver antenna with a conductive mesh in all directions except a line of sight from where you expect to use the mic (moving on stage?). Also consider placing the receiver as far away from switches, etc. as possible (and run its output wire to the amplifier from a distance). The strength of a spark weakens per the inverse square law.
